Stuck in a bind (In need of RV manuals)
Hello fellow rig owners, I'm currently the power of attorney for my best friend who has fallen ill with Parkinson's. Long story short I am in the process of selling his 2000 Rexhall Aerbus model 3550BSL-2S and am in need of any kind of manuals I can find about it for the prospecting buyers.
After extensive research I have not been able to find any downloadable manuals for this particular RV. The furthest I've been able to research about it is the model 3550BSL-2S which after closely inspecting photos and info of others of the same model I've found that this RV fits the specs of that model Aerbus.
What is one to do during the selling process when all information and manuals to the RV have been lost? I am not too savvy with all the bells and whistles that come with this model RV so its become very difficult for me to do presentations of it when interested buyers decide to come take a look at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I currently have a serious buyer interested asking me...
What size gas tank does the motorhome have?
The size of the water tank? (I assume 10 gallons)
Gray water tank size?
Propane tank size?
Thanks in advance. -Alex

Few things have a water tank that small. I'd expect somewhere between 50 and 100 gallons of fresh water. If you have enough access to measure the tanks you can do the math to get the volume. Divide the volume in cu ft by 7.48 to get gallons. Close is good enough.
Propane tank size is stamped on the tank.
Good luck with the rest.

Alex,
We have a 1999 Aerbus 3250. I suspect the tanks are the same for the 2000.
Fresh Water 100 Gallons
Gray Water 80 Gallons
Black Water 60 Gallons
Propane 30 Gallons
The gas tank size depends on the chassis. Ours is on a Ford Chassis and has a 70 gallon tank. Don't know the size of the Chevy/Workhorse chassis tank.
Almost all the rv components have their own manuals and can be found online - water heater, furnace stove, A/C, etc. A Ford chassis manual is also available online. Suspect the same is true for the Chevy/Workhorse chassis.
The actual Rexhall manual doesn't contain much info beyond the wiring schematics. I have the schematics for our 1999 in digital form. They probably are accurate for a 2000. Just send me a PM with your email address if you would like the files. Too large to pass along via IRV2.
Hope the info helps

A big help to your friend, if you are able to, is photograph the coach from all angles and then check each piece of equipment and accessory and note the manufacturers name and model number. Armed with that information you can do some on-line searches and come up with a list that potential buyers would be interested in ie:
Engine make/model HP
Trans " "
Tire condition and tire date
Capacities of all tanks
Make/model of fridge, stove, furnace, HW heater
Batteries, number of batts and condition
I am sure other people can add to this but having this info would flesh out a sales flyer or ad.
It is a nice thing you are doing for your friend. f
Interesting: I had a 2001 Rexhall diesel pusher, 5.9 Cummins with a 60 gal fuel tank and a 100 gallon water tank. Pretty well built, all things considered.
Good luck!

You do realize that the RV isn't worth much money, correct? Knowing about it will help some in be able to advertise it, but really won't change it's value.
Low retail, the number most folks use as "book value" is only, $15,700.

Is this one like it? Lists a lot of specs.

Hey Tim, I am aware of todays current value for this model RV mine is similar to the 3550BSL the only exception is that mine has dual slide outs. I am not listing it for more than what it is worth I've done my research on the value of these and what others are seliing for, I appreciate your advice though.

Great. I've seen lots of people who think an old RV is worth way more than it is. Just wanted to be sure. It does look like a spacious floorplan, hopefully you can find someone who appreciates that.
A little more googling suggests there were both gas and diesel Aerbuses around that time. NADA isn't always correct too. Rexhall didn't always conform to the model year norms either. It is a Ford F53 gas chassis, correct?
I'm sure your friend appreciates the help.

It suits one of my interested buyers the way its set up so its a win win for both of us.
