Water water everywhere !

Last week we had a wet snowbird trip to Florida. The first day driving had serious rains, then two days later when we stopped for a rest day it rained all day. When setting up at our winter spot, I found that several of the basement compartments were wet inside. The gaskets around the doors look to be OK but maybe they are not. Any ideas ?? Are there direct replacements for these gaskets?

The local RV dealer parts department should have bulk rolls of various compartment seals. Use a flashlight at night to locate possible openings that might be allowing rain water to enter.

Bobb.25,
I had a water leak in one of compartments and found it to be coming in through one of the sheet metal seams that make up the compartment. I pulled back the liner, removed the old sealant and re-applied new sealant then glued the liner back in place. Not sure if the door latches on your MH are adjustable. Mine are not however, I have seen a mod that I am going to do the entails the drilling, tapping and installation of an adjust screw that allows the doors to be pulled in tighter against the door seal. Hope this helps.
