Tow help needed

Hi guys
I'm a new member. I have an RV and a couple of years. We are from Billings Montana. Have some questions about Towing my 2011 Chevy Colorado. I can find a tow bar without any issue but I'm curious as to the base plate. My Colorado was setup to be towed by Chevy. I took it to Bretz RV today and he looked at the front end and he didn't think I needed to base plate however it has hooks in the front rather than the tow bar hook-ups. Do any of you guys know what a person needs to do with this? Do I just need a couple of bolt on items or do I have to take the front bumper off and replace the base plate? I could sure use some help on this the dealer didn't seem to know much about his equipment.
Thank you
