Bellingham WA to South Beach OR??

We are headed out from Bellingham to South Beach OR in a month and not sure if we should cut over to the 101 at Olypia for the more scenic drive or stick to I-5 for the majority of the drive.

I hear the 101 is a pretty drive but not sure how it is for driving the RV, I don't want to white knuckle it on a narrow road if I don't have to.

Any thoughts from those who know?

It’s a beautiful drive that you don’t want to miss. Lots of pull outs heading south for photo opportunities.
We hugged the coast from northern Washington to southern Oregon down and back towing our pickup with no problem.

In November we drove all the way down the 101 through Oregon and California until we cut over to Napa with our 36' 5er. It was a spectacularly beautiful drive along the coast. My only concern before starting out was to be sure we'd be able to find diesel and RV friendly gas stations. It was no problem. Enjoy!

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the great info. We will take the coast at least one direction.

You will have way more opportunities to use the pullouts while you are traveling south.
