Changing dates in RV Trip Wizard

I have looked for an answer here but I don't see one.

I need to change the start date on a trip and then the dates for the first two stops. After that I can continue with my original itinerary.

However, RVTW does not allow me to change the dates.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a very serious shortcoming in RVTW?

Thanks.

I just changed my start date from today to tomorrow. I went to the point I was leaving from and edited the start date there. It automatically changed the date on my entire trip.

To change the dates, change the start date of the trip. The following dates can only be changed by changing the number of nights for the preceding stops.

That won't work

I am afraid that you cannot change the start date anymore. I have tried for an hour to change it and it will not let me. Please bring back the old version, I could change that with a quick click.

I just tried it and didn't have a problem. I selected the origin point and edited the date.

Thanks for the help.

We are working on an update to where you will be able to lock dates for selected stops beyond the start date.

This is a major reword of the code, so it will take a while to write and test, but we will eventually have more options in date selection.

Do you have an estimate for that fix? This is a real problem for me.

I would really like this feature. Some stops may require long-term advance reservations but the earlier parts of the trip may be more flexible/fluid.

Nope, can't edit the point of origin

Sorry, guys, I just tried to edit the point of origin, and I cannot.

In fact, I cannot even click on the Pencil Icon for the start point. I can click on the Pencil Icon for the second point, however this date cannot be changed.

This is a huge bug in RVTW, IMO.

What browser are you using? I just checked using Chrome and I can click the pencil on my point of origin.

I found that if your start out location has a ZERO in the number of nights - IT WONT LET YOU EDIT THE START DATE.

So you have to put a "1" in the number of nights, then you can edit the date. Which screws up your days on the road and your arrival date.

So put in an over night stop at your house on day one, edit the start date, the take out the overnight from your start point. I hope that makes sense -

This programming makes no sense to me- most people would start out at their house with no overnight, right??!

Alternative

I have "0" in all of my nights on a trip I just started planning and I can change my date. Something else is happening. I am using Chrome, but it works the same with Firefox. I also checked Microsoft Edge and I can change the dates on it also.
