CSV File Blank

I have been using RV Trip Wizard to do all our travel planning. We have a built-in RM GPS. I usually create the trip and then use the "Send to GPS" feature to create a CSV file. This file is saved to my desktop (Mac). I then insert the SD card from GPS to transfer the saved CSV file. In the past I would re-insert SD card into GPS, then go to multi-stop trips and locate the trip. Today using the same method when I click on the trip the contents are empty. Usually I have to delete the starting point, but there is nothing in the file. I did check the saved file on the desktop and it was empty also. What am I doing wrong.

You''re probably not doing anything wrong....the Dock software does not play nice with Mac's. Just try it again and see if it works...and again...and again. At times, it has taken me several times to get the trip to download correctly, but eventually, I get it.

it's a very tedious process, for sure...

I am not using the dock software to load the CSV file to the SD card. I transfer the file directly from my desktop to the folder on the SD card. I did check the CSV file last night. Downloaded the CSV file from the website and without opening it, right clicked on it to get file info and found it had 0 kbytes. I emailed RVTW, will have to wait for their reply.

I just tried the GPS CSV download on my PC and also got a blank file. I have used this feature for several years with no problem so must assume that the feature has been broken by a software change not by anything you are doing or because you are on a Mac.

Thanks for the heads up about this - we are looking at the issue and hope to have this resolved quickly. Data is not being written to these csv exports (bug) but is working for gpx downloads. we should have this fixed shortly.

I have spent much of the day trying to import POIs from RV Trip Wizard to my GPS. I finally realized that the CSV files I was importing were empty files and found this thread through the Help feature with RVTW. Small comfort to realize that I’m not the only one having this problem.

RVTW loses a lot of its utility if I cannot easily transfer POIs to the GPS.

Any prospect of this being fixed within the next few days?

Patience Grasshopper, they are working on it. David Carradine in the tv series Kung Fu, for you younger folks.
