GPS Upload creates disjoint tracks and routes

So I have been planning a trip from Florida up the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, then to NYS, and finally Mass.. So far so good, picking places to stop etc..
However, when I down load this it creates separate tracks that are uploaded into the GPS. If one allows the GPS to automatically connect the tracks and make a route from the final track they are done in a sort order, not the order the route was laid down in.
Opening up the GPX file I see that there are individual tracks set up (and this is evident from the Basecamp display).

Is there anyway to get the route exported as a single track so a single route can be created automatically?

I am using Rvtrip planner to create the trip. Then I down load it to a GPX file, and upload it to BaseCamp.
Basecamp creates routes from tracks. Once that is done I will load it into the Garmin RV 770.

I have been trying to do the same thing for over a week now with my brand new RV770, same thing happens. Can't transfer routes made on base camp or google maps(converted to gpx file)..........I even have made a custom route from Pa to Florida on the gps in trip planner........and I can't get it to save the route I made???
I am getting disgusted to say the least, garmin base camp is not a very user friendly program from my dealings on it........
Called Garmin Friday, through a program they took control of my computer to see what might be the problem, and he said I needed to buy a program to clean up my computer......! 200 for one time use and up to 800 for life time use!!!!!!!!!I asked him what he was "Puffing on"......on the other end of the phone and hung up! So don't bother calling them for help........you can if you want, let us know what they say if you do...........

I just tried deleting some of the segment headers from the GPX file and now I have what appears to be a contiguous track made of a few segments. So I created a new "list" in Basecamp under "My Collection" and wow, it churned on it a bit but it created a single route.

For example, using "Notepad" on Windoze 10, I have this in my GPX file;

"lat="36.136" lon="-81.6451"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13604" lon="-81.64467"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13617" lon="-81.64405"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13641" lon="-81.64322"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13628" lon="-81.64316"/>
<name>From Thunder Hill Overlook to Grandview Overlook</name>
<src>RV Trip Wizard</src>
<trkpt lat="36.13628" lon="-81.64316"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13641" lon="-81.64322"/>"

It's not anywhere as neatly displayed as the above, but that works for us because it is easier to illustrate the edit:

"lat="36.136" lon="-81.6451"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13604" lon="-81.64467"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13617" lon="-81.64405"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13641" lon="-81.64322"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13628" lon="-81.64316"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13628" lon="-81.64316"/>
<trkpt lat="36.13641" lon="-81.64322"/>

What I did was delete the ending and beginning trackseg statements. Note the order they appear in. That defines the segment of the last track and the beginning of the next one. I am thinking the redundant trkpt should also be deleted

What the Wiz should probably implement is a download that does NOT insert tracksegs between all stops unless they are requested as route break points. I was thinking overnite stops would be a convenient point at which the Wiz should use as a segment delimiter but what do I know?

I only wrote code for a living for 30 years.
