Mileage on Trip Planner

This looks like a great forum. Being new to RVing and this forum, I'm looking forward to meeting some of you on the road.

We are planning our 1st major trip going cross country and back in 30 days. I'm using RV Trip Wizard and I can't find what the miles stated in POI are in reference to. I've searched Help without much luck. In other words, if I click on a POI, it gives a mileage reference in the upper right hand corner which doesn't make sense to the route or any of the stops along the way including the start or ending points. I don't want to add these POI's to my trip, just want to know where they are. For example, I clicked on a Super Walmart POI in a city that is approximately 500 miles from our starting point along our route but the miles on the POI states 967.

Could anyone direct me how to use or set the reference point on POI's so it make sense?

Thanks in advance.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I've never used Trip Wizard so can't help with that! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

The miles listed on the POI is the calculated mileage from the current highlighted stop. If you have 5 stops on your trip and you hover on stop #3 in the trip tab (just position the mouse on the stop) this will turn that stop to have a light green background (highlighted). Next carefully move the mouse directly to the right onto the map making sure stop #3 stays highlighted. Now when you show the details of the POI it will show the distance from the stop that is highlighted. Once you understand how it works it really is pretty easy to use. It can get confusing when the highlighted stop is not the one you think it is.
