Red highlighted routes

While planning my route the purple route marker gets a red shadow sometimes. What does this mean? What did i do to cause it and how do I make it go away.
Thanks

Its my understanding that is where the traffic is not moving at a normal speed, possible delay due to accident or whatever, this information is based on the pings from all the cell phones in that area not moving or something like that,, blows my mind to know that google is so aware of us but kind of helpful too.

I love that thought, but believe that the red route is the segment your cursor is touching. If you have a multi-stop trip planned then as you touch your cursor to the different segments the leg you are touching turns red to make it easy to see that leg. That seems to be how mine works anyway. Not sure if I was real clear, but think you will see it.

I think you are referring to Google Maps or Waze. To my knowledge RVTW is not crowd sourced so traffic slow downs will not show on RVTW.

I use RVTW as a planning tool, not a navigation tool. I hope the developers create a Nav app that integrates with RVTW, that would be most helpful.

In addition to the route segment turning red when your cursor is on any part of the segment, if you scroll through your list of stops on the left, the segment between the stop you have highlighted and the next will appear in red on the map.

I came here to see if anyone had posted about this. I have multiple segments with the red or orange highlight. No idea why.
