I use Chrome & have not seen the RVTW pop up, either here or over on RVPR's & I frequent both sites.

Please keep us informed if the RVTW pop up becomes annoying here on iRV2. If it does, we may need to address it. I don't know if any of you have noticed, but if you go to the Edit Options section of your User CP...under Miscellaneous Options is a section "iRV2 Daily Pop Up Toggle". iRV2 Daily would be our daily newsletter, if we had one...which we do not. If we had one, the site would occasionally display a pop up advertising to subscribe to it. This would be the way for logged in members to stop that pop up from appearing. If the RVTW pop up becomes bothersome on iRV2 or when you close iRV2, this may be something that could be modified or duplicated to address the RVTW pop up.

From what I've read, the RV Trip Wizard pop-up doesn't happen on Chrome.

I think the existence of this thread constitutes informing that it's annoying. I'm sure the vast majority of people don't have any idea where it's coming from--it took me a while to connect the dots, and I was on a mission.

You may not hear from them, but I have to believe that there are plenty of people irritated by a brand new window popping up without relation to any site they're looking at. Usually, it's easy to tell which site is serving an ad because it's either on that page or shows up in front of it. Having it appear in a new window eliminates that connection. That's probably by design, but (1) people are irritated by it, and (2) when they figure it out, it's probably not going to make them feel fondly about the site doing it--either the one that served it or the one that's being advertised.
