Send to GPS

I am having an extremely difficult time trying to send my Rv Trip Wizard Route to my Garmin 60LTM (brand new). I have tried various configurations with no success. Not all of the stops on my route download. Each stop that does load onto my GPS adds anywhere from 10 to 50 copies of the stop therefore all stops don't download and the error message on my GPS says the navigation route is too long. I shortened my trip to 12 stops to see if that would help but this did not. I am extremely happy with the RV Trip Wizard, but what's the point if I can't use it on my trip.. The last annoying thing is that once I get a stop or 2 loaded then I have to re-organize all the stops into the correct order. If you can shed any light on this process (other than the instructions in your help guide), this would be much appreciated. Frustrating.

Can you load it into BaseCamp first?

Yes, I can load it into Base Camp and create individual "routes" from the "tracks". When I load it into my Garmin, I will get a few of the routes but attached to each route are many many copies of that route (up to 30). After a long time, the Garmin freezes as there is too much information trying to download.
I have since tried to use Garmin POI which worked up to the point where it says Congratulations you have successfully loaded 46 POI to your Garmin. When I open the Garmin to work with the travel planner, there is nothing there.

Have you installed a mini storage card in the Garmin? The external slot on mine is located along the bottom edge. (this is needed if your out of storage space on the Garmin)
To delete waypoints on the storage card, I have had to take the storage card out of the Garmin and open it on my computer and trash the waypoints.

When I upload waypoints and routes the waypoints show up under Saved and the routes in the Apps folder under Trip Planner.

I spent several hours trying to export in to my Garmin 760. I finally decided that the Garmin Basecamp does not support exporting all the routes for one RV Trip Wizard into one Trip Plan. If someone knows how to do this, I would appreciate some help. I ended up using the old procedure to load custom POIs via the POI Loaded - at least this way, all the stops are segregated in one list. I also have each route in the Trip Planner (a little cumbersome to scroll through). I know my Garmin will combine them all into one trip because I have a trip from last year that does this...I can't remember how I did it, but I think I manually did the Trip Planner from the custom POI list I created through the export. Basecamp is not user friendly to me and seems excessively complicated.

Still struggling with Garmin

After talking to Garmin organization I am still not able to make BaseCamp work properly. My garmin imports multiple copies of each stop which look like tracks but were actually already converted to routes. I defaulted to POI and have retrieved my RV Trip Wizard stops into my Garmin 660 LTM trip planner. They show up under Categories - Custom POIs. The fellow at Garmin told me they show up under Favorites which tricked me until I sorted that out. Now I am manually creating a Trip on my Garmin. If Ocean Breeze manages to sort out the method of importing the whole trip at once I would love to be the beneficiary of that knowledge. Running out of time. We are leaving for 3 months soon. Thanks.

BaseCamp uses a .GPX format. So whatever you try and load needs be in that format.
Searching the net I found some helpful sites that converts from one format to another. Here are some links:
GPS Visualizer: Convert GPS files to plain text or GPX
GPS Visualizer: Draw a map from a GPS data file
Conversion from a GPS format to another GPS format
It has been a few months since I used these. But I was able to download many sets of waypoints from Discovery Owners at : https://www.discoveryowners.com/test.asp and convert the waypoints into the format needed and load them on my Garmin. I have: COEs, Casinos, Elks Lodges, PassPort America (which is outdated), Days End, Hot Springs, Slot Canyons, Dump Stations, and maybe a couple others. As I change locations the closest ones show up first. I just go to the saved folder to find them. Some of the eastern states are missing as I usually travel in the west.

I don’t load all of the above on my GPS at the same time. Instead they are all loaded in BaseCamp and I only load the area that I will be traveling in during the following month. I can give you more info on this process if needed.

I do my route planning on BaseCamp, selecting waypoints on the highway often right after a city and if I have a specific way I wish to go through a city I select waypoints in the city on that route. When creating a route I number the waypoints (1, 2, 3, …) then if I need to add one I use as decimal such as .1, .2, .3 Numbering is for my benefit when creating the route. I also use a different symbol for each route, which is also for my benefit, as they don't show up on the GPS. I save used routes and download them from my Garmin into BaseCamp.

Hope this is of help.

I ended up doing what you did...import POIs and and just manually selecting at each stop as I was too lazy to to a trip planner in the GPS for this trip. I am on a 6 week trip and also ran out of time figuring it out.
