Shortest route shown

I'm new to this thread and RV Trip Wizard. I searched for an answer to the following but with no joy.

Is there a way to have RVTW to not show a darkened line that looks like the shortest route between starting and end points of a planned trip?

Thanks!

Bob

Not that I am aware of. Am I correct that you just want to put points on a map and not connect them for a trip. If that is correct Google Mymaps will do that for you.

Shortest route

Add your stops and the line will go to each stop in turn rather than straight line. It will help you follow the best path.

I can plan a trip just fine with the route and stops clearly shown. But there is also a second highlighted route that goes directly, without any stops, from my starting point to the finish point, apparently an attempt by RVTW to show me I could go to my destination via a shorter route. Kind of like the hypotenuse of a right triangle. (Pls forgive me.) So I have two highlighted routes shown. At times, the two routes confuse me. I am very old! I don't want to see the "shortest" route.

Did you drag your route to a different road? If you did you created "waypoints", you will need to delete some, maybe all, of the waypoints.
