Don't use facebook. So no demo or Q&A for me, so no sale.

It is not a mobile app. It runs in a browser and really needs more screen area than a phone has. I can use it comfortably on my 13" laptop, but it's even better on my 27" desktop monitor.

You don't need to use FB to go through their online demo (once it's working again).

Thanks for the reply. If I can't use it on my phone it is useless for me. When we are traveling (and that is for 4 months each winter) that is all I use.

Maybe I steered you wrong. I just tried logging in from my phone (Chrome browser on Android), and was able to select a saved trip and check out a few functions and it appears to work rather well despite the small screen.

I guess I've learned my "something new" for today.

It's not a stand-alone app. It will run on Chrome on your Android (www.rvtripwizard.com) There is a related app called the RV LIFE GPS & Campgrounds app that is a separate purchase, but you can see your RV Trip Wizard trips in it.

You won't find RV Trip Wizard as an app in either the Apple or Google stores. It's a browser-based program that runs on any device that can run popular web browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox. There is a related app called the RV LIFE GPS & Campgrounds app that can be found in both stores, however it is a separate product with it's own subscription costs. One special feature it has if you are also an RV Trip Wizard user is that it can show you your RV Trip Wizard trips and allow you to navigate them with turn-by-turn GPS.

Yes... Thanks for the info re browsers, dipnet. I have always used Google Chrome with no issues, but still good to know.

Like talktome396, we travel a good 4 to 6 months a a year. I agree with jtyphoid that it isn’t as convenient on a cell phone, but it can be done. I’ve kind of worked out a hybrid approach that uses both with ease. I usually begin by developing the basic itinerary and identifying destinations while we are at home. We can export the entire trip to the GPS once we’ve checked routes, but usually we don’t. We generally pull that day’s travel up in the Garmin and then compare with Trip Wizard and our trucker’s road map, if it’s going to be off-interstate.

What I do when I develop the Trip Plan at home is include any Notes I think will be handy to have as we travel (for example, Campground phone numbers, check-in times, Rez details). Then when we are on the road, it’s a few simple clicks on the phone and all my info is there for me. We have an onboard PC that I can fire up to work with the software full-screen if we are in a place that has WiFi, and I’ve also used it by making a hot spot from my phone with good success. Yes, it takes some time to learn but once you do, it’s got some really cool features. I probably shouldn’t share this but here’s one of my faves: I like to switch to satellite view when I’m looking at places like COE campgrounds. You can literally zoom in tight enough to actually see the layout of each camping area. With Reserve America open in another screen, I then have a much better idea of what the site I’m booking will actually look like. This can only be done full-screen, though, if you try to zoom that far in on the cell phone the software blows up and you have to log off. Another great feature is the closer in you zoom the more stuff pops up. It’s amazing the amount of info the program contains. It’s Google Earth in RV language

Jtyphoid, it’s not the demo I wanted to see, it’s the training session. I’m still trying to figure out how to work with the fuel usage/mpg aspect but there seem to be a lot of moving parts. Guess I’ll have to break down and RTFM...

Have not tried, nor know anything about, the Wizard. But, about two months ago I found several alternative navigational aides mentioned in one of these iRV2 forums. One was RVParky.com, a totally free tool for planning, and modifying en route, trips. I liked the price and it had several advocates singing its praises. So, representing the potentially dangerous combination of being a senior and a RV newbie, I downloaded it to my laptop, tablet, and smart phone (android). Might as well try to learn one of these tools.

Well, we are now home from our maiden voyage of 4,974 miles and 29 days. The tool worked great. Recommend it highly.

I do think it is getting better. I just came off a 21 day trip and it worked great. I also started planning a 25 day trip and i am adding actual fuel cost at each Love's thanks to TSD logistics fuel program!

I have Trip Wizard which I use primarily on my laptop to plan. I just got RV LIFE app for my phone/tablet and used it on two trips. RV LIFE interfaces with Trip Wizard and you see your Trip Wizard trips, enter your RV specs (height, length, weight) and ask for ď RV Friendly RoutingĒ. Then on my phone I see trip in Maps, and get VOICE turn by turn directions. Worked like a charm and kept me away from low bridges, etc. i have no co-pilot so voice directions were so helpful.

RV Trip Wizard is not an app, it is a web site. www.rvtripwizard.com so it can be used on any device that has a web browser.
