Replacing carpet with other flooring on 29 5T

Ha anyone replaced their carpet in the 29 5T? Ours is looking pretty dirty and especially under the table. I'd rather have regular hard flooring, at least in the eating area. Anyone switched it out? DIY or professional? Thanks!

Doing it now.. whomever decided that carpet was a good idea ....

Tossing the banquette and putting floating laminate down.

Carpet hides a bunch of "FU"s...

We have a squeak in front of the sink and I was going tio put a few more screws in but there aren't any.. is the ply glued to the frame ?

It is really hard to find any staff that understands RVs.. we had to go to a lot of stores to find info.. At the present time.. and will depend on the colour that we paint, we will use Allure or another brand.

Best guess, I read the info on this product and it has to be glued down..the floor has to have the ability to flex and stand large temp changes, that is why the floating vinyl seems to be a hit..

We are installing a floating floor in our motorhome. Bought the product prior to leaving for our Florida home last November. Finally warming up here in northern Ohio to get it going.

I would welcome any lessons learned and other information about your floor replacement project.

Sorry I'm that knowledgeable about flooring to know what LVP is.

What I bought was from Home Depot. It was a vinyl type that was peel and stick. We also used a grout to seal between the planks and keep it all in place. Prepping the floor to flat by removing imperfections and old carpet glue was what took us the longest time.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is a generic abbreviation for waterproof flooring planks that installs with peel-and-stick, glue-down, or click-together.

I did not understand what you used because you mentioned grout, which I associated with ceramic tile.

It looks like you might have gone under a slide-out bed. If you did not, disregard. If you did, how did you remove the bed to accomplish that?

I know about the ceramic tile grout but.... we did the vinyl floor, and we did grout the small gaps between for a tighter more solid fit and finish to hold it all together better because of all the movement in the rv. These were not click together planks they were the peel and stick kind.

What we bought and used is a vinyl floor grout. Again we found it at Home Depot and the grout was in the same section as the vinyl planks.

Also the base of the bed is stationary to the floor and we just trimmed up to it. The part above it where the mattress is, does move with the slide. We did not remove any part of the rv only the carpet and replaced the area where the carpet was pulled.
