Planning on staging the motorhome for a cross country trip starting in July. Main concerns would be the roads falling apart/potholes during or after break up.

We go north in May. Watch the weather. You really do want the Yukon and northern BC to have thawed enough to open at least the parking in the RV parks. Some years are fine in April, but I have seen Tok only open a few RV spots by May 23 due to snow and cold. Call the Yukon Motel in Teslin to see if they are open, and Toad River Lodge in BC, before you leave. It varies year to year. Camping at minus something with no power is OK on a snowmachine, but a bit less so in an RV.
