We were up 201 as far as Jackman ME, then over to Rockwood ME on Moosehead. Its a typical 2-lane country road through the foothills. It is well traveled. The biggest danger is moose, though they are not as prevalent as they used to be.

Just take your time and make sure you don't have contraband at the border. Oh yeah and fuel up before you cross.

We were just in Bar Harbor over the 4th, great time and weather. Now in Lake Placid NY. Hope you had a great time

The last 50 miles on 201 in U.S. just before Canada was one of the worst roads I have driven on.
Terrible condition

We were just up that way last week in our Jeep from Rockland and took 6 into Moosehead. Then 6 over to Jackman. 6 into Moosehead was a good road. 6 over to Jackman was terrible. 201 from Jackman back was a good road with a few bumps. Cannot comment North of Jackman.
