Crossing Canadian border?
Has anyone had any experience with the border officials not allowing homemade products to cross the border? We have been told as long as you can prove the origin it's fine???

What sort of "homemade product" are you planning on bringing to Canada?
Pipe bombs are usually homemade, but not allowed, as an example. Doesn't matter if you can prove where it came from.
I would call the CBSA main number and ask before taking the chance.

Definitely call before you hit Canada CBSA Customs when its food or organics. Better to find out before you get there.

While you are checking out what Canada allows in, you may also want to check what US Border officials allow in on your way back!
Both sides will put you through a series of questions no matter if you are a resident or not.

We just went into Canada a couple weeks ago and had no problem going in they just asked a few questions. Coming back to USA they went into the coach and took all citrus fruits and vegetables out of refrigerator.
