Hello from North Pole, AK

We have been camping since May 25th. Left central Indiana and went west in the top tier of states. Visited Yellowstone (stayed in West Yellowstone at Grizzly RV Park). Went on to Seattle by way of Columbia River valley. Took a week's cruise to the Inside Passage. Traveled from Seattle to Deer Creek and then followed the Alaskan Hwy. Having one heck of a time. We'll be in Alaska for 3 -4 more weeks. Love it.

We've been at Riverside RV Park for 3 nights (including tonight). It's a real decent campground. It's a Good Sam. The wifi and cable are above average. The CG is on Badger Road (the western Badger Road not the first Badger Road as you enter town from the east). It's a quick trip to Fairbanks to see the sites. The Steamboat Discovery was worth the money. The natural museum at the university is excellent. Ya gotta go to Santa Claus House in North Pole.

We're headed for Valdez tomorrow. Then Denali about 3 days after that.

Take care. Travel easy.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your trip! I lived in North Pole for two years while in the Air Force and loved it. Now that I own an RV, a slow trip back to Alaska is in the plans. Do you plan on driving up to the Arctic Circle? When we were there many years ago, there was nothing there but a sign. But, it is fun to show the picture of us by the sign. Enjoy!

We just left Valdez 2 days ago and now in Haines. Keystone Canyon on the way into Valdez has awesome waterfalls right along the highway with a huge turnout to view them. Worthington Glacier is worth a stop too , if you feel like you can walk to its face.
