We're planning a trip in our RV from Vancouver BC to the Yukon & Alaska. Wondering which route to take: Stewart-Cassiar highway or Alaska highway. We'd like to take one on the way up & the other on return. Suggestions? Also how much time should we plan. Thinking 3 weeks or a month.

Alaska Highway north, Cassiar south. Go north thru Kamloops, Jasper. Grand Cache, Dawson Creek. Three weeks is a bit short. We take a week from NW Washington to the Kenai, Call it more like 5 to 6 weeks to see and do at your own pace.
Alaskan Hwy up and Cassier on the return. One month is too short. If you have the time it could easily be an all-summer trip. Don't plan to drive long days. There's a lot to see before you even get to Alaska.
