OMG *how* much is a campsite??
What's the most expensive campsite you've come across?
IIRC we paid almost $100/ night at Disney FL. And we committed to staying at Cedar Point (Ohio) last night before we learned that the rates had popped up to $120 per night
The highest I've come across was $250/night (peak rate, after taxes etc/ weekend nights) at Nemacolin in western PA. But we didn't pay/stay there - just couldn't do it :-)
Please tell me there's nothing MORE expensive out there :-)

I've paid $100 a night at the KOA in Kissimmee FL, but for that I got a huge pull through site with a landscaped, furnished patio, a gas grill and use of a squeaky clean pool and bicycles. It was 5 minutes drive to Disneyworld. I considered it great value all things considered.
On the other hand I cannot imagine how a campsite could be worth $250.

If you like Nascar racing then you know how expensive a 20x40 piece of ground with NO hook-ups can cost!

We just paid $99 a night for jellystone in Eufaula, OK. The fourth night was free so that drops the price.

We head up to Cedar Point later this month I believe I am paying something like $93 before taxes and entrance tickets.
I have found camp site fees are generally controlled by location, location, location........
We just returned from Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge, TN. Was in a $59 site. The camp ground was beautiful, well maintained, and friendly - bend over backwards for you staff.......it is on a TVA lake with a view of the Smoky Mountains that is to stunning.......it is out in the middle of nowhere, about 30 minutes for Pigeon Forge and worth every penny.......just proof of, "If you build it, they will come!"
On the flip side, here in Indiana, the state parks offer some wonderful camp grounds
For a full hook up some during the week a night costs $30, same site on the weekend is $40. I get the extra up charge for the weekend, but not by a government, tax supported entity...........
Just my thoughts.........

The most expensive we have paid was about $75 at Heritage RV park in Homer, AK. We only stayed a couple of days because it was so expensive but the views were spectacular. That is just about our limit.

When we were recently at Glacier National Park in Montana, and we toured a KOA just outside the park that bills itself as a "resort". It was supposedly $130.00/night.
It was nice - very nice. If I had a herd of kids, I might consider it just for all the stuff they could do. But it was just me, the wife and the dog and I don't think the dog would have appreciated it. So we passed.

heading there for labor day weekend with 3 teenage girls it is pricy but you get a lot more than just a rv spot. It was my daughters end of summer trip for her and two of her friends. I think I will just hold up in the RV LOL

Rare for us to spend more than $35 a night. Occasionally (a couple of nights per year) we've done about $50 depending on location. On average for us it is probably close to $25 a night BUT just spent 4 nights at Fort Wilderness, Disney World. Worth every penny of the $93 per night for 3 adults and 4 kids. It is a destination in and of itself.

Basically this could be an awesome place but we weren't impressed with the management. We did have a great time in spite of the issues.
