ULSD in Baja Sud

I am planning my first trip to Mexico (Baja Sud) for next winter. I need to know the latest on Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) fuel availability. Help.

It is quite amazing that no one has information on this.

I'm in Baja Sur now. But left the RV at the border. However lots of newer diesel trucks filling up at the stations I see. Sorry I can't help.

Have friends in Sonora and there's no ULSD there. Looks like the introduction was delayed...

Updated: Just realized this article is a year old. Sorry can't find anything newer but my friend with a US emisions control equipped Mercedes chassis Class C could not travel on into Mexico like she wanted to due to lack of ULSD in Sonora.

USLD in Mexico delayed

Friends, how is it that no one on this site has CURRENT information on ULSD fuel for the lower (as far south as Cabo) portion of Baja? The old diesel (300 ppm sulfur) will kill a modern (after 2010) engine. One can not possibly consider such a trip without this information. My 75 year old bones want to be warm next winter (it is 75 degrees there NOW).

Isn't there a Mexican government site or travel site that can give you this information and where to find it?

I just did a Google for this and there are many articles. Do a Search. Here in one:
