We have just bought our first TC, a 1968 Vanguard, one owner!! We have had class 'A's for years but for shorter trips this will be fun.

We're not too familiar with the older technology so here's the first question of many.... this receptacle on the outside is, I assume, for shore power? I have not seen a 3 blade one like this before so do I replace it with a modern standard 110v receptacle or is it something else?

The camper has only 1 15 amp breaker and inside has one 110v electric light and one 110v outlet. I will be checking/rewiring as necessary

Thanks for your help

Answer to part of your question--a "pigtail" converter will plug into your outlet in photo with other end designed for 110V. Will only cost $5 to $18. Check with local service shop or get on line.

Thanks for the help. Once we had fully investigated all the cupboards we found an electrical lead with the correct plug on one end and a 110v on the other so we're good to go!
