1996 Alpenlite Silverton 11" OR 1999 Citation 10.6"???

Hi all.

I have been searching for a used truck camper for the last few months and have now narrowed it down to two selections in my price range and desired length.

1) 1996 Alpenlite Silverton 11"...$ 5,200.00
Generator,AC,electric jacks, microwave. Photos show camper in good condition.
( NO swing out brackets on jacks which I require )

I am told this manufacturer uses an alluminum frame whis is a plus and is light for an 11 " camper. has front window in bunk which I believe can become a leak problem

2) 1999 Citation 10.6"...$ 6,000.00
wired for generator, microwave, electric start hot water, new battries, electric swing out dually jacks, fantastic fans. Photos show extremly clean.
I do not know if the frame on this camper is wood or alluminum but I do not see a bunk window. I heard this manufacturer builds good campers and can be used in cold weather.

Well, I welcome your thoughts. Anyone have or are experienced with my selections? appreciate your advice.
I do not want leaking and rot problems. I liked other makes like Lance but I understand the frames are wood and the rear skirts rot out. most have a bunk window also.
I liked Northland but I notice many ads on craigslist and kijiji admit to leaking and dry rot problems. Same with Elkhorn and Caribou.

I am waiting to hear on a 10" Kustom Koach fiberglass camper which has an offer but yet to be finilized. ( looks like a kodiak or bigfoot) but otherwise I am going to view these 2 selections and make an offer on one of them.

I have a 1989 3500 SLT extended cab Dually 454 gasser. air bags. Hope they are not too heavy?

Thank you. Brian. Chilliwack BC.

I personally am not a fan of Thor. I have traded for many of them Citation's trailers and they all seem to have dlam problemd with the fiberglass. I would go for the 1996 Alpenlite Silverton. But I would offer them $4500 Being that it is a 96 mold.Just my opinon.
