The Lance Max came out in 2005 but there's a major cost difference between leftover 2005 Lance Max campers and the 2006. I can tell the window has changed between the camper and the rear truck window but visually that's about it. Anything else? Lot's of deals on leftover '05 Lance Max campers, there's got to be a reason.

I have been wondering the same thing. Local dealer has 6 05's on the lot and 7 06's and the price differance is very big.

I just think I may not have enough carrying capacity for the one I want with my 3500 DRW.

I bought an 05 last July. I expected better quality. I won't go into detail now, maybe later.
The Stereo remote not working because of radio position.
Slide-out seal not closing the gap.
Don't get me wrong Campers have come a long way.
I have made some impovements and modifications that I thought the builder should have done.
You will here from me more later.

I just had some repairs done at a RV repair shop (they only do repairs - no sales). While there I saw he had a Lance with a slide-out with the front siding pulled off (the vertical siding that butts against the cab). He said Lance had a serious design flaw in that they used a wafer board under the siding instead of plywood & the waferboard wasn't strong enough to support the slide when it was in use. He said he has had to remove the waferboard & rebuild the unit with plywood. He also said he has done several of these. I don't know if it was an 05 model but it sure looked new.

Maybe this is the reason you are looking for!!??
