Ole Billy Bob truck is going for a ride on the dolly. (sounds like a skit for Larry the cable guy) But I'm confused about the weight of the beast. Sticker says GVW 8100. GVWR front 3300, rear 3500. Nothing about actual weights w/o load. It came to me w/o camper shell. Just need to know empty weight. Help pls.

Are you refering to the GAWR ratings or 3000 and 3500? That seems rather low for a 3/4 Ton truck. Your rear axle should be rated for a lot more than 3500lbs if its an F-250.
Other than that, to figure out how much she can safely carry and stay "legal", take the truck, with a full gas tank and you down to a truck scale and weigh it, then subtract that number form the gvwr.

GAWR for the front is only a few hundred pounds less empty than loaded. When you load a pickup most of the load is carried by the rear tires and only adds my guess would be 200-500 pounds to the front. So if you are looking at putting it on a tow dolly my guess is the front wheels would weigh in at about 2800-2900 pounds. My truck is a lot bigger and heavier than yours and weighs in at 7700 empty.

Thanks. I was just looking for front end weight going on dolly. Hard to see anything like 3300 just engine, tranny, frame, etc of empty truck. It's well within limits of dolly.
