Amerigo camper

Hello All.
New user and was wondering if anyone had any info on the Amerigo camper. I have put this camper on craigslist in spokane but removed it due to my phone ringing off the hook with calls. It has all fairly new appliances. The roof sags a little bit due to the weight of the stove, closet ect. Would it be a huge job to pull off the cupboards and ceiling from the inside to replace the 2x2's? I saw a rebuild but it was complete rebuild and really don't want to get that far into it. What would be a good price if I were to sell? Thanks for any input

Can you install a nice turned wood post(s) to prop up the area?

Good luck with your sale.

Thanks Don, I think if I take off the upper cupboards then do your post idea then reattach the cupboards might work. I know I should replace the countertop too so maybe I should just update. I like fixing things as this is my 2nd Amerigo and really like them. The last one I had to replace the 2x6 where the jack attaches to. That was a learning experience.!

NADA provides the equivalent of a Kelly blue book for sales of campers by region. With a rare camper it will be hard to find good information. Price depends a lot on how close you are to potential buyers as few will drive more than 100 miles to look at a used camper even if it is a well known brand.

Searchtempest.com works well to scan craigslist postings within 500 miles of your house to see what else is being sold and the asking prices.

Whatever you pay to do the repairs you will not recover when you sell the camper. I would sell it "as is" and have the Bill of Sale clearly state this so that you do not have problems with the buyer after the sale.

Hi There is one for sale in seattle for $1200 -- but your roof needs to be reinforced--big job--I am retired and have some time so please let me know if you want to sell--I recently put a Chinook pop up on a Dakota but only works for 1 person so need some more room.
Thanx JB

Hello JB,
I sold the camper locally and they are going to leave it as is. It was not real bad but I would have got deep into it and don't have the time. Thanks
