Anyone Have Experience with a Real-Lite?

We are still in the searching/thinking phase of looking for a TC. Does anyone have first-hand experience with a Real-Lite hard side truck camper? The one we have seen is a 1998 12 foot side entrance model with an Onan generator. The original owner has stored the camper inside and it is very clean. He says that the camper has an aluminum frame? My question is are these campers made well, or is this a problem prone brand? Thanks in advance. The camper is much older then we wanted, but it does have a nice layout, a generator, and has been well cared for.

I had a '94 Real-Lite 11' camper.

It had laminated walls with an aluminum frame.

The only problem I had was a leak in the cab-over front window, which is a problem many truck campers seem to have.

Thanks for the information. Yeah front window water leaks are a common problem with many RV's. It was a plus when manufactures started leaving them out in favor of a solid panel on the front cap. It sounds like your Real Lite was decent unit overall? If this brand is not a real turd, it may be a good unit to get started back into the camping hobby.
