Atwood remote jack issue

I have a 2005 Lance 1181 with atwood remote jacks. They worked great for 5 years, then the front jacks would not go up. I had to reverse the plug on each jack, and use the retract button to raise the jacks. then reverse the plug to lower. After reading some posts, I checked all electrical connections, and they were fine. People were ordering new or replacement remotes and for the most part that fixed the problem. So I took the battery out of my remote, opened it up and made sure everything was tightly connected internally. It was. As a last resort before ordering a replacement remote, I peeled back the face on the remote carefully, starting at the top. I took q-tips, and Alcohol and cleaned all the contacts, and dryed each with a new q-tip. My remote is now working again. I do realize this may not work for everyone, but it may save you some money and frustration

Had a similar issue. Replacing the 9v battery solved it.
