Why dont you guys make the trip to South Texas? Here you can actually park/drive on the beach with a 6.00 fee and camp, granted there is no electricity/water etc, but there are campgrounds that offer that behind the dunes. Boonedocking here, falling asleep/waking up to the waves crashing just a few yards from the camper is PRICELESS. Espescially if ya can share with the kids. Not only that You can kick back in your favorite chair and watch the kiddo's go wild without worrying about upsetting someone in the next campground site.
