BEWARE Host TC Specs

Sharing our experience regarding TC specs listed on manufactures websites, so that others will not face an unpleasant experience when purchasing a new Host TC. In our case it was the height spec. Just purchased a new 2019 Host cascade. Prior to purchasing i contacted the dealer and investigated the overal height specs of the TC which is stated on the Host website as 112" tall. Surprise! Unit exceeds that stated spec by 6 inches and the true height is 118". For those of us who keep our units stored inside this could be a problem, (as is for me) depending on your door height. Contacted Host Co. and their response was, did you read the fine print, (Host Industries, Inc reserves the right to improve or modify its models without notice or obligation. All specifications are approximate and subject to change). So much for customer support, we apologize about that, lets see how we can rectify this unfortunate situation, we at Host want to make this right etc. So, beware of ALL specs on your future purchase(s) READ the fine print.

That has been SOP for at least the last 50 years across the spectrum of equipment.
