Black water cable problem

My black water cable is not broke but when I push or pull the cable to dump and close I have to to hold the inner side of the cable. Does it need re-crimped or what? It is on a 2005 Dutchmen 36 Foot travel trailer which is on a permanent site at the at the campground. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try using PB Blaster, a very good penetrating oil and lube.

You might be able to re-attach the sheath so it stops moving, but you should look into replacing the cable. It might break at a very inconvenient time.
