We are looking at a 1978 Nuwa TC that is in MINT condition on which I would like to mount boat racks to carry two 40# kayaks. The roof has "2x2 rafters" every 16". I do not want to rebuild the entire roof so am looking for a way to mount boat racks as well as something to stand on along the outside edges while I secure the kayaks. Any ideas on a boat rack design and/or "platform would be appreciated.

TopLine MaggieRack for RV's looks like the one that came with my Lance camper. rv-maggierack I sort of like it because regular rack mounts and such fit! I don't know about walk-on help as I've never had a problem walking on any of my RV roofs.
