I have an Arctic Fox 990 camper and it is starting to delaminate where the front cap meets the roof. Is this a common problem with these campers. I called and talked to them and they will fix it no charge if its not from water intrusion.

Did you talk to a dealer or to AF? It looks like water intrusion to me.

I spoke with Dave Mann in La Grande. This thing never sees any water, I don't understand how this could happen.

That took about 7 or 8 months. If the delay was on your end thats one thing, but was it the dealer or manufacturer that delayed for so long?

and I always wonder why water intrusion on a new unit isn't covered. Is checking the roof and window seals a required owner responsibility the day you drive it off the dealer lot?

^^^If the question was directed to me, the delay was on my part.

once your camper is in there for fixing, maybe you can take some pics of what they find and post what they do about it,

I have an '04 Arctic Fox 860 which is stored in a heated hangar in a dry climate (Wyoming) - the bottom of the nose has always been delaminated (I didn't know it was supposed to be otherwise), and I recently found that one side had rotted. The camper's been all over the country, including Alaska, so it's not like it's never seen rain even though stored inside. I called Northwoods and they provide the materials at no charge to fix it, even though the unit's 5 years old. I need to pay for shipping/labor, but I figure that's a fair deal.

Got home a couple of days ago from our trip to La Grande for repair of the front cap delamination. Met with Dave Mann on Monday morning, checked out the camper and dropped it off for the repairs. Dave called us Tuesday afternoon and said it was ready to go. It was fixed at no charge, full front cap, I can't believe it, we just knew we were in for a big bill. It was found that the delamination wasn't caused by water intrusion. We can't thank Dave Mann enough for helping us through this and for the tour of the factory and for just making us feel welcome. We thought La Grande was a great place, all the people everywhere we went just made you feel welcome and they all spoke English! The weather would be the only drawback that we could see. Hopefully this fixes the problem and we just continue to enjoy our camper. Thanks again to Dave Mann and of course Ron Nash for great customer service.
