Any chance that an F150, inline 6, manual 4 speed, will haul a 1300 lb slide-in pop-up. i'm willing to add springs, airshocks, whatever.

Thanks, Dan

I ran that combo for 5 years with no problems. Added helper springs and better shocks, and tires. I up-graded to be able to tow a harley hauler and be able to stop it.

our first truck and camper combo was a 1997 F250 light duty and a 2000 80HL Adventurer.
considered a pop up slide in but found they were heavier than the adventurer.
truck mods included overload springs in rear, procomp shocks all around, and michelin LTX tires.
traveled some very bad back roads with no problems. could have used more power on the highway though. didn't like the auto trans off roading either.
