If you stay at RV parks that give the GS 10% discount, the yearly membership fee will be absorbed pretty quickly. There are some other benefits as well. Good Sam Club

It depends on how much you are going to use your TC. A lot of RV'ers have, Multiple memberships with different camp ground organizations, membership in like passport america, also. So they have a choice of which to use in the event the camp ground does not honor Sam Club members. Like mentioned above if your going to travel a lot the yearly membership will for themselves in a few stops.

There is also the small discount at Camping World. All the junk mail is a drawback!

I have CW and FMCA membership now. Plan on getting PA and KOA when we go full time. One lthing I learned here in Texas - there is a TACO membership plan that some use. A kind CG attendant asked if I had it and when I said no - she pointed out there was a TACO coupon that I could use on the spot for my stay in their CG flyer. Doesn't hurt to ask if they have a coupon laying around. Ya never know and 10% off is always welcome.

We use it and it pays for itself but it is of minor benefit. The Passport America for the western states has proved to be worthless. The parks where the discounts work often want a minimum stay and are also more expensive to start with and still more expensive after the discount.
