I wanted to share a letter that I sent to Hallmark. So many times we all are very critical and speak out loudly of poor products and services. I recently was WOWed by Hallmark and the service provided. It is only fitting that I write to a company that freely offers excellent service.

Dear Sirs;

I would like to thank you for a top quality product and industry leading and world-class service. My wife and I have owned a Jayco Eagle fifth wheel trailer and Shadow Cruiser hard-sided truck camper. The quality of our Hallmark Cuchara surpasses the Jayco and Shadow Cruiser and many others that we have looked at including Outfitter, Artic Fox, Lance, Palomino, Four Wheel, Fleetwood and Bigfoot. My wife and her family have owned campers for over 40 years. She was never a fan of soft-sided campers, until we looked at a Hallmark. All of the components of my Hallmark are of the highest standards Attwood, Dometic, Sureflo, Fantastic Fan are names that are associated with industry leading camper and coach manufactures.

I recently visited your new showroom in Ft Lupton Colorado. I live in west central Wyoming, which is over 6 hours away. Upon my arrival Randy promptly greeted me with a genuine handshake and a warm smile. He quickly introduced me to Matt and Bill Ward and others of the Hallmark family. I apologize for not writing down everyone's name, you are sincerely recognized as part of the Hallmark family.

After introductions and looking that the new facility, I was asked to pull my truck and camper into the service bay. Ronnie, one of your service technicians was standing by. He was on the roof of the camper in short order. He began a complimentary inspection and re-seal of the rubber roof seams. During the roof inspection it was noted the rubber material has created a bubble on the roof. Bill and Ronnie discussed repair options- Bill stated the roof material was still functional, but if the roof gave us any problems, Hallmark would replace it without charge. Oh- did I mention that I'm not the original owner of this camper? WOW! I could not believe the service, not only were my expectations of the new showroom met-the outstanding customer service was a real surprise. I'm simply overwhelmed; I have never received service of this caliber.

Many people are very quick to judge poor service and inferior products. However very few write about exceptional customer service and quality products. I'm hopeful that this letter provides some assurance that Hallmark is viewed as an industry leader, from this loyal and life long customer.

I had a look at some of the slide shows...are the campers okanagan....? is that the mfg name or is the mfg Hallmark. I have a Canadian friend who has an okanagan...again, I thought it was Canadian made, but I could be wrong.

Can you explain....

And thanks for telling us, HEMI

No warranty to 2nd party owners.

"Bill stated the roof material was still functional, but if the roof gave us any problems, Hallmark would replace it without charge. Oh- did I mention that I'm not the original owner of this camper? WOW! I could not believe the service, not only were my expectations of the new showroom met-the outstanding customer service was a real surprise. I'm simply overwhelmed; I have never received service of this caliber."

I was at the showroom/factory this weekend picking up a used camper. I noticed while I was there that the roof was sagging and had accumulated a large puddle of water. I asked about this and was told to prop up the roof when I put the top down... I then asked if the warranty would cover the issue and was told that there was no warranty extended to 2nd party owners. On my way home from Denver I hit a large storm and after setting it up at home, I noticed sizable amounts of water on the curb side of the interior.

While reading this post, I decided to call Hallmark to verify that the camper was in fact not covered by warranty. After an extremely heated discussion with Randy, I was informed that the warranty would not be extended to me, but concluded that he would work with me on the price to cover the repairs necessary.

At this point I need to decide whether to take the 7 hour drive back to Denver, or have my local shop perform the repair...
