Hey it's a long winter what else we got to do? How many have added to the suspention to increase pay load of their trucks? And what have you done? I have added one spring to the front and progressives and one spring to the rear. Rancho shocks.

I have added Rancho 9000's and Timbrens in the back. This did not change the payload capacity. I does help to stabilze the load. It also keeps everything on the strainght and level.

Rancho 9000's and air lift air bags. My truck already has sway bars.

I'm also experimenting with some overload spring spacers.

Lets see,

1. Rancho's
2. Air bags to level the load (more like from left to right)
3. Larger tires to accomadate the weight
4. Overall made sure truck engine was up for the long haul. That's another thread.......
5. Bought a dually!

1) Air bags, great for making our unit level;

2) Ranchos, they reduced the sway a bit;

3) Helwig helpers, did not help, led to some pretty bumpy sounds when driving over interstate expansion slots; removed them.

4) swaped out tires (front only for now) for Michelin xps ribs; real smooth driving. IWD

Rancho Shocks all the way around.
Helwig solid 1.25 in. sway bar.
19.5 wheels and Range H tires

Camper weighs in at 4100 lbs ready-to-go.
Handles great, now.

Rancho 9000's, 5000 lb. air bags, Rickson 19.5" forged aluminum wheels with 245R7019.5 Goodyear 124 M&S load range G (both wheel and tire rated at 4500 lbs SW).

Running rear shocks at 8, front shocks at 7, rear tire pressure at 90psi, front tire pressure at 80psi.

Possibly anti sway bars next.
