I keep looking in my rear view mirror ...

and can't see anything

I have a new Northstar TC800 (pop-up) and I want a back up camera.

Don't want/need the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just want to see what's sneaking up behind me on the road!
Black and white is OK.
I see there are models that are actually on the rear view mirror of the truck instead of a little monitor?
Camera on the license plate? If not, where?
Can a 'normal' auto shop install these things? My dealer is 2 hours away through LA traffic, ick.

Would like to hear from other slide-in camper owners!
Suggestions? Recommendations?

Just got HiHo 3 weeks ago!

Do you have extendable mirrors? Way more useful than rear camera while driving. Good luck.

Never had a camera on my truck campers but always wanted one. Now I have 3 on my MH and wouldn't be without trhem ever again. I leave my rear camera on all the time. It's another tool to stay aware of what's around you. Mirrors are great. Camera and mirrors are better.
