Key for Yakima rack

Sorry...did not take time to do a search...need info asap. Have the 1030 Lance which has the Yakima roof rack. Need to put the crossbars/towers back onto the rails but my instructions are less than clear (to me).

Instructions indicate that a key is used for the SKS locks. I had recently removed the crossbars when I had some work done, now I cannot figure out how to reinstall....is a key needed? I do not remember using a key when I removed them. Crossbars were already installed when I bought the camper (14 years ago!) and I do not remember if a key was provided or what it looks like.

Seems the figure shows to use a key to pry the levers open but I do not understand other than "to open the levers", how the key is used.

Glad to see that IRV2 is still here. Seems I have not logged in for maybe 4 years...it's a long story. Hope someone has the info...hope I was clear.

The key is just used to unlock the levers.

The locks were optional. Not all racks have locks. Its hard to advise how to install your racks since there are many different Yakima mounting systems.

I have the locks on the rack but did not unlock them when I removed the crossbars. Perhaps they were there but not locked. Wonder what the key looks like.
Thanks for comments...will just wait until next week and call Yakima; the monsoon changed plans anyway.
