The new colors are... um... in my opinion... AWFUL. What the **** was Jack's wife thinking???

I hope when I order my 06 or 07 Lance 1181 that I can opt into the 05 color scheme. Gack.

One often wonders if the interior designers have ever been camping. At the price these new units go for it would be nice if we could have a say in material and color. I mean $25K for a camper should get you the choice of some basic colors.

Well I know that Jack Cole's (CEO of Lance) wife is the one who selects the interior decor of the campers...

The new colors are slightly growing on me. Heck, my gf LOVES the most obnoxious one -- Ponderosa. Mineral Wash is nice if a bit bland, and Waterfall is probably my favorite. However, I still MUCH prefer the 2005 colors, which I think are the nicest ones they've ever had.

My biggest concern for 2006 right now is that new mirrored closet thing in the cabover of the MAX models. I sincerely hope it's an option, because I do NOT want it.

OH, and a $25K Lance is fairly cheap now. The loaded MAX models are in the low to mid $30's now.

Well, my 1130 is a '03 and is paid for. I guess I can start using it now.
I have changed jobs so many times since I have "retired" in Utah that I have no vacatin time.
I used it once this summer.
Just wait. I got around 60 months left and I am done!

As a proud owner of a 2002,Lance 1130 I must say it is looking better all the time. We had resisted the new 1181 model because of not having a window in front. We had resolved to giving in and getting one anyway because of all the extra room and all the windows in the back inhancing the view while inside. But one look at the new decor options and the loss of another window in the front is too much for us tolerate. If and when we decide to upgrade I'm sorry to say it probably will not be a Lance.

I suspect that the "closet/mirror" thing up front will be an option, so you can still have the RH window (which I agree with).

I personally am glad the front window is gone, but I also suspect you could request a front window when ordering your camper. Lance is known to make special accomodations if asked. I plan to ask for miniblinds in the dinette area instead of those pull-down shades, and also for them to leave out the "wallpaper" striping stuff in the kitchen and bathroom.

Rob-Thanks for the tips. I didn't know Lance may make exceptions/substitutions when ordering. I agree with your observations about interior colors, patterns and etc.

I am obo of a 95 945 that is better now than when it was new. Rebuilt the lower side panels with cca. That got rid of the rotten partical board. I keep it indoors so the thing looks like new. I have a dealer in town so I stop and look but mine has been paid for eight years ago. Do not really see why I need a new one. I guess when I find someone to leave me a mill I might give a new one a throught.Good luck with your new ones. Hope you take them to Alaska and have a great time as we did. Rob

Yes, it can be done. When we ordered our '03 1121, we ordered overhead cabinets in the bedroom area similar to the models with the twin beds option. Also we ordered extra 120-volt AC outlets in the kitchen area. We asked that the spice rack not be installed since we wanted to install it in a different location. Our Lance regional sales rep helped with the order and called the factory several times to coordinate/verify the changes. All our requests were sucessfully completed at the factory. It takes $$... they don't make the changes for free; however, we thought the additional charges were very reasonable.
