Looks like the list is coming together . . . it would sure be nice if we can get some more at least for the Pismo part as it would be a very pretty site to see all those campers lined-up.

It's looking like the last week of March, the week of the 27th is fitting most peoples schedule. Again my thought is meeting in Lancaster for a tour of the Lance factory on Thursday and then heading out to Pismo from there for the weekend.

There is still room for more, please feel welcome to jump on board. I would like to get a final talley for the Lance portion so we can give them a heads up.

I am really looking forward to this, it should be a lot of fun.

Update 01/15/06

We are making progress for the tour. I spoke to Eric and he is still trying to get a commitment from Lance on the exact time of the Lance Tour, so far we are still planning on

We do need to know ASAP all commitments for the tour and camping so final arrangements can be made. Leave for Pismo Friday after breakfast, arrive Pismo, set up camp, have fun. We would like to hear if a Saturday night (Potluck) would be of interest to anyone (respond here or send me an email (budster59@gmail.com). Here's another fun group thing to do:

"Omelet in a bag" breakfasts.

Get a quart size ziplock freezer bag (these heavy duty bags work the best) add your name to the outside (for identification purposes) add your eggs, squeeze the bag to make it scrambled, drop it into boiling water, 8-10 minutes later it's done, have fixins ~ cheese/bacon/salsa/onions/whatever available, grab a flour tortilla, add your eggs and fixins, have a breakfast burrito! Let me know if this of interest for Pismo.

I've done this for years with the kids, and most recently at an rv.net rally, see thread here: http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fu...g/1/page/1.cfm excerpt quoted from rv. net by 96Bounder30E:

There is no reason to make them at home and freeze them.......... you can however make or chop your ingredients at home and freeze the meat items and refrigerate the other stuff......... on site you simply break 2 eggs into each freezer bag and them drop them into boiling water....... since eggs come in their own convenient little packages there is no need to break them ahead of time and freeze them.

along with paper plates and disposable silverware if you put the meats, veggies and cheese in zip lock bags their is virtually no dishes to be washed afterwards.... (this is a good thing when boondocking)

Still waiting to hear about the camping after the Lance tour.

We would like to hear if a Saturday night (Potluck) would be of interest to anyone (respond here or send me an email (budster59@gmail.com). Any and all suggestions would like to be heard, don't be shy! Let me know what you are going to bring to the potluck so we don't end up with 15 versions of string bean casserole. I am going to bring my śworld famous' chili ( http://members.tripod.com/~B_u_d/chili.html ) it's pretty spicy, but I'll make my śgringo' version so you won't be calling out my name in vain the next day, if you know what I mean!!

Please check the list below, let me know if there are any changes to your plans, email me with your real name and names of who will be attending with you.

Sunday morning we will have "Omelet in a bag"Ł breakfasts. It's a śpotluck' breakfast. Bring your eggs, some fixins (chopped onion, bell peppers, ham, sausage, bacon, cheese, salsa, whatever)

Get a quart size ziplock freezer bag (these heavy duty bags work the best) add your name to the outside (for identification purposes) add your eggs, squeeze the bag to make it scrambled, add salsa/onions/whatever available, drop it into boiling water, 8-10 minutes later it's done, have fixins ~, grab a flour tortilla, add your eggs and cheese and bacon, have a breakfast burrito! Let me know if this of interest for Pismo.

I've done this for years with the kids, and most recently at Quartzsite.
