Proper setting on hold down turnbuckles?

Hello,
Helped my son pick up a Lance camper. This was a first time event for the both of us. We do not really know the proper setting for the spring (we think) loaded turnbuckles that hold the camper to the truck. Any advice would be a great help. We got the unit home ok, no problems, but just guessed on how tight to set them.

Thanks
Dan

If the turnbuckles are spring loaded they should have tension indicators. If they aren't spring loaded use the above suggestion or get spring loads. Once you've damaged the corner anchors in the camper, you'll figure out why.

Don't use a wrench! Gently hand tight.
On my Happijacks it said to tighten enough to take the play out of the hooks and then pull 1/4" more. In practice that isn't very tight.
