Has anyone used saddle tanks(or any other solutions) for extra fuel? If so how did you do it? Can they be purchased anywhere?
I have a 9.5 slide-in camper(just purchased). I have installed camper in 93 Dodge Diesel long bed Dually. I have had 120 gal aux. tank that I had to remove( Pulled 36' 5er) to use slide-in. That leaves me just 30 gal main tank.
Thanks,

I would start checking message boards dedicated to your make of pickup or the diesel boards. I'm sure someone has done something like your talking about but if not you're for sure going to find out if auxiliary tanks were ever a factory option. If so you could probably scavenge parts from the Junkyard. And if not there is bound to be someone pointing you to a place that could build a custom fuel cell that you could mount yourself and plumb inline with your system.

Not your make but on all the Chevy 73-87's and the one tons up to like 91? there were factory options for dual saddle tanks (short bed 16gal, longbed 20gal) and thanks to other ingenious folks there are complete walk throughs on adding the tank from a similar year Blazer between the frame rails for an additional 16 or so gals.

Thanks Blink32 for info. on saddle tanks. I am searching Diesel forum for help. I have fibreglas main tank(30 gal. factory) on pick-up now. Someone suggested looking into fibreglas aux. tanks. I don't know if I would consider glass tank for gas but having diesel fueled truck,It sounds like a good option.
