Jigger, I have an 02 Chevy dually. The rims must be placed on the studs so that the inner valve stem and the outer valve stem are 180 degrees apart, and theouter rim webs do not cover the inner stem. Some tire shops do not know this and just slap them on without looking. Sams Club is really ignorant of this fact .

You also need the truck style valve stems. This allows you to check both inner and outer duals with a dual foot chuck. The outer wheel stem faces inward and the inner stem faces out, just like on an 18 wheeler. Go to NAPA or a good auto parts store and ask for a dual foot chuck, you'll also need a dual foot pressure gauge to go with it.

After you do a conversion, buy 19.5 wheels and tires, and anything else you think you need to make a truck equal to a real dually, you will still have a truck with a weight rating sticker and title for a truck with a low weight capacity. Not what you need to have if you get into an accident and some slik lawer discovers you were driving a modified vehicle that was, acording to its manufacturer, overloaded! Anyway, you probably will not like the ride of those 19.5 tires. Been there done that myself and finally bit the bullet and bought a dually and never looked back.
