Since I picked up my truck camper my Sirius Radio doesn't get any reception. After I took the camper off the truck the Sirius works again. Does anyone else have this problem? What is there available to solve this problem? we want to get it fixed before leaving on our trip to the Grand Canyon this summer.

Sounds like your camper is blocking the antenna.

We have an after market radio and simply moved the antena to the hood of the truck. If you have a factory installed radio you may be able to unplug the factory installed antena and install a aftermarket antena on the hood of your truck.

As stated, it is most likely that the camper is obstructing the signal path.

Since low profile antennas for Sirius are relatively inexpensive ($20-$30) it may be possible for you to purchase one and install it on top of the camper. Run the line down the side and up through one of the drain holes in the truck. Just cut an "x" or "+" in the drain hole to push the wire up through. When you are traveling with the camper you would use the antenna attached to it. When you are not traveling you would reconnect the truck Sirius antenna.

Just a thought. Good luck.

Found the connection for the Sirius. It is up in under neath the sun visor. Now the problem is the connectors do not plug into each other. Both are males . Need a female to female so I can hook up the new antenna before the rally this summer.
