Solar Power

Did a search on solar power here in the TC area and found some old threads dating back to 2005.
Just hoping there are some of you out there that have setup there TC for solar and would care to tell me what you have for equipment and how it has best served you.....

I had the factory installed 100W solar panel and Charge Wizard installed on my 07 Arctic Fox 990. It seemed to work pretty good charging the two 12v group 27 house batteries. I'm sure it wasn't set up as the experts on this board would recommend, but in southern california and surrounding deserts I got plenty of sun and never sat in one place more than a few days. Had no problems boondocking in Sierras for a few days at a time, but we are not energy hogs.

I am going through the internal debate right now solar vs. a honda/yamaha generator. My main boondocking will be in the sierras where there are no hookups, but I fear solar won't be very effective due to the tall trees and shading.
