Use the PU truck brake controller for towed jeep?

For pickup truck owners only.
If you have the pickup truck on board trailer brake controller like the one shown below, have you found a method of using it to control the brakes on a towed vehicle such as a Jeep?

I know that this system works "out of the box" with my car hauler trailer which has electric brakes.
I wonder if it can be adapted to add an auxiliary vacuum pump mounted on the Jeep like the US Gear "Unified Tow Brake" system?

bighatnohors, my Brake Buddy Stealth uses a brake controller to control the brake actuator in the Jeep. Maybe they would sell just the parts that go in the Jeep.
