OK, another question. Is the extension installed in place before loading camper?
Or do you crawl around on the round dragging a 100 pound piece of steel to horse it up into the reciever?
Now that I thing about it....common sense says to put the extension on prior to camper loading. Of course I have been known to do things the hard way many a times!

I install the extension and rock guard before loading the camper, also hook up the electrical pigtail as well.

As long as your on level ground, I find it easier to put the extension tube on BEFORE I load the camper. (I also have to remember to lift the step before I lower the camper on the p/u)

I attach mine before loading the camper Same reasons as the posts above. Its just much easier on my back then having to bend over ducking under the camper lugging that steel bar around. Just remember its sticking out there when walking around the back of your truck!
steel vs. shin = #$*@&%#!!! Once was enough...I remember now!

Well, just for grins I tried it both ways.
I will never ever put the camper on first!!
Putting that 4 foot bar and hooking up the connector and then the chains! Wow!
