ALWAYS wash your hands!

I actually saw this a few years ago

The guy in the site next to mine disconnected to leave. Came out and closed both drain valves - they had both been open for the duration of his stay. He pulled the sewer hose loose from the park connection and ripped off the duct tape he had used (no connector) to secure it to the park pipe, and fed the end into his sewer hose door. When he had fed some of it in, he disconnected the vehicle end, with no gloves on, and slid it, dripping copiously, the rest of the way in. Grabbing the connector, he shoved the hose the final few inches, shut the door and wiped the back of his hands on his pants, stood up, fished into his pocket for a handkerchief, blew his nose and put the cloth back in his pocket. Now he went to his fresh water hose, disconnected it from the city water inlet, shoved the end into his potable water tank and turned the water back on at the post. Leaving his electric cord connected, he started the motorhome and moved off his leveling blocks. He did unplug, and the last thing he did before leaving was put the travel cover on his sewer connector, get in and drive away. Always wash your hands after shaking hands with a stranger!

Or, if you happen to be someone who knows that guy, even after shaking hands with a friend.

Saw a guy very meticulously put his rubber gloves on. While the tanks were draining he disappeared into the trailer and was in there for about 5 mins, when he came out his gloves were still on and he had a beer in his hand????

It's like the little plastic gloves you see food service workers wear.
They do everything wearing the same pair of gloves - what's the point of that??
Maybe the gloves are to protect them from us, and not us from them...

We have a friend that dumps with out using gloves and not washing his hands. He spent four days in a Hosp. with some strange virus. He was one sick puppy.

I remember one time years ago at a dump station when an old fellow who was cleaning up his spill hosed part of it all over me. I had to wash more than my hands that time. Ah the joys of camping!!!

Betcha that 'guy' rarely gets sick.

Antiseptic wipes/soap/gels are making kids MORE susceptible to germs NOT less.

Anything/Everything you touch is 'dirty'....just a fact of living.

Normal hygiene and a strong immune system will take care of most routine/casual contact with others.

I worked on Payphones in the field for years and was never sick. They promote me, stick me in an office and the first week I was sick. Lol

We are big believers in soap and water. Unfortunately we see way too many people who have less than desirable hygiene habits. While I don't feel the need to where a mask and douse myself in antiseptic wipes every time I see someone with a cold, I do feel that exposure to raw sewage is not in anyone's best interest. So yes, we wipe down the faucet before we connect our fresh water hose - with soap & water.
