In high school MANY years ago we were given a test that only had 10 questions and the insturctions at the top of the page.
The isntructions were; use only ink pens, read all of the questions first.
Questions 1-9 were simple, no issue to answer.
The last question was the 'kicker' as it said in part 'write your name and date at the top on the page only, do not answer the rest of the questions'!
Needless to say most everyone 'failed' this test. Since then I learned to 'read' more!

R2Home,
I failed that one in the '50's, that's how long it has been around.

I think it was one of my teachers that pulled it on us.

I had a history teacher in high school who did things similar to that he always put about 10 question that had the answer if you just read the question and used a little common sense a couple of examples are: "Who's buried in Granted tomb, or my favorite "what color is the White House" alot of people got those questions wrong and failed the test.

One of my junior high teachers did much the same except the questions were to crow like a bird and other verbal ones. And then the last question was as above, do nothing!! I almost passed except for the first instruction I did before reading the rest.
